Remote Account Manager [CLOSED]

Startex Industries, a leading manufacturer of contract furnishings for the hospitality industry, is seeking a Remote Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager’s role is to serve as main point of contact for assigned customers, developing strong relationships with customers while guiding them through our product portfolio and answering questions.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a drive to provide exceptional customer service. Applicants should be available to work during standard US business hours, be fluent in English and comfortable communicating with customers on the phone and via email. To succeed in this position, candidates should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead point of contact and develop trusted relationships with customers
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs, make product recommendations and respond to quote requests
• Maintain updated knowledge of company products and services
• Develop new business with existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet sales targets
• Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
• Manage client records, tracking staff and organizational changes

Requirements and Skills:

• 3+ years proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager or other relevant role. Experience in a B2B products industry a significant plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate product ideas to clients
• Exceptional ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to find creative solutions to complex issues clients may be facing
• Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
