Gridlock is looking for a new team member – a QA Engineer to test the work of the developers and ensure that the functionality is there, as well as build and maintain automated testing frameworks.

This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity to join a start-up where you will be instrumental in helping Gridlock grow by implementing changes quickly and establishing more thorough testing regimes.

More specifically, within this role, you will:

• Test app features and functionality prior to software deployments
• Evaluate software readiness by designing and writing detailed, reliable, and reusable functional test plans
• Be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving product issues as they arise
• Get involved with deploying and monitoring software applications to test environments and production
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks

After the initial onboarding, your tasks will be to ensure rapid identification and prioritisation of debugging and work with the developers to implement solutions. For this purpose, you will also have regular meetings with the developers throughout the week so that they can support you in the successful completion of your tasks. As well as this, you will quickly start creating automated testing systems to improve the speed and reliability of testing.

To excel in this role, you need to have:

• 2 + years of experience in software development
• 2 + years of experience in QA Testing
• Relevant experience in testing mobile applications
• Experience with the use of development tools
• Good understanding of API testing and mobile application testing
• Experience in writing code used for testing automation
• Ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions
• Excellent attention to detail and proactive approach to problem-solving

Brownie points for

• Experience in writing code using React Native and Javascript
• Experience with DevOps processes and automation
• Experience with AWS

• Full-time and fully remote
• Flexible working hours as long as there is a 5-hour overlap with UK business hours for catch-up/meetings/collaboration with the team
