Podcast Editor -- Part Time [CLOSED]

About the Job:

I am looking for someone who can do some light audio editing -- specifically, cleaning up podcast interviews for publication, such as:

• listening to the interview to delete "um," "uh," stutters, awkard pauses, and etc. without needing me to point out every audio mistake first
• adding a prerecorded intro/outro to each interview
• making sure the volume is consistent, removing hiss/pop, and other audio clean-ups

I will work with you for the first few episodes, so you'll know exactly what I'm looking for. After a few episodes, you'll know what the finished product should sound like, and will be able to work on the episode on your own, whenever suits you.

Skills I'm Looking For:

This is not quite the right job for a beginner in the audio space. I'm looking for someone with experience recording and editing audio, whether you've recorded bands, edited podcasts or audio books, and so on.

The ability to work independently and to finish tasks on-time is very important.

Attention to detail is critical. I am looking for someone whose work I can trust, so after the training period, I don't have to listen to every podcast to see if it's done correctly, I can trust that it is and publish the finished episodes.

Pay and Availability:

I'm looking to pay on a per-episode basis, starting at $10 per episode. The episodes will come slowly at first, and then will be part of a batched system, probably 5 per week, on going.

So this will be a part time job, as 40 hours/week aren't needed. However, there is a chance that things will go really well and both the number of episodes per week + your responsibilities will increase.
