We are a digital agency that builds and helps grow membership-based websites! We do this through development, consulting, and marketing services. We have many clients that have multiplied their sales over the years by working with us and many projects we are very proud of.
We are a small distributed team that thrives on remote work. Between employees and regular contractors, we have 6 of us at the moment. Most are in Canada, 1 is in the US, 1 is in Ukraine.
It's a perfect position for someone that loves remote and asynchronous work rather than being glued to the computer on a fixed schedule and stuck responding to never-ending interruptions in Slack.
We are expanding our team by onboarding a new PHP Developer to work on a variety of client websites & continue enhancing our membership software that most of our clients use.
You will be the primary developer on client projects going forward, implementing new features and functionality that helps our clients continue to grow their businesses. At any given time, we have circa 10-15 sites that we work on regularly, and you will have the opportunity to work on these projects.
As our PHP Developer, you will:
- Build new functionality and troubleshoot existing code across our client sites
- Continue the development of our membership system that our client sites are based on
- Ensure close coordination with the project manager and the rest of the team working on each client project (usually working on multiple at once)
At the start of your time with us, you will be trained on our project management processes, development environment & our membership system. Once you grasp all of our systems, you will move on to client tasks of increasing complexity as you get comfortable.
Tasks will be assigned to you via Asana, but we also use GitHub & Google Workspaces.
As our successful candidate, you need to have:
- Several years of professional PHP experience working on real projects
- Experience with Git & the general PHP ecosystem (such as composer)
- Experience with other PHP frameworks that are MVC-based
Brownie points for:
- Experience working with payment gateways, especially Stripe, or other subscription systems
- Experience with Docker, HTML, JavaScript
- Experience working remotely

What’s in it for you?
- $3500 to $5000 per month*
- Work remotely & asynchronously
- Flexible working hours with some overlap with Mountain Time (ideally from 8 AM to 12 PM)
- Full-time role: 40 hours per week: the majority of the time with flexible hours as long as there is a Monday-Friday overlap
- 3 weeks of paid vacation
- Salary increases over time
- Year-end bonuses based on performance
- Loyalty bonus of USD 10,000 payable at 24 and 48 months
