Full Time 3000.00 - 3500.00 USD Type: Monthly

Click here to watch a video by Dan, the CEO of Advocacy Architects:

Advocacy Architects helps businesses and trade associations win state legislative fights by designing targeted legislative and political advocacy campaigns. Their clients hire them because they are experienced in the state legislative arena and use high-quality, high-touch, targeted methods to design and launch advocacy programs.

In the last few years, Advocacy Architects has built a niche in the renewable energy space by offering highly effective legislative and political advocacy services - making positive changes in state legislatures around the US! :)

By diversifying and expanding their industry client base, they plan to build a brand that can be franchised in all 50 states. With that in mind, they want to build a team of visionary, hard-working employees who value and enjoy hard work, transparency, fairness!

Right now, the Advocacy Architects CEO is looking for an Operations Manager who can jump in and get up to speed on the company’s operations and help build systems and processes that are scalable and delegatable.

As the new operations manager, you will:

  • Work with CEO to convert Client Success Map to systems and processes
  • Help select, set up and manage project management software
  • Help put together video-based SOPs
  • Build out tasks & processes in project management software to support SOPs
  • Craft job descriptions for administrative and project management positions

In the first few weeks, you’ll learn more about the business model and start setting up project management software. In the past, the company has worked with Asana and Monday.com, but currently, they do not have an operational tool used for project management. However, the plan is to set up the main PM software for workflow management, supported by Google Docs, Slack, Beautiful.ai, Canva, and other tools needed for day-to-day tasks.

As the new Operations Manager, you’ll be working directly with the CEO and have the ability to impact the company in a huge way, building a vision of where they want to go. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s looking for a long-term position with a chance to grow into a senior role and even the COO!

To be a successful candidate, you need:

  • Strong operations and project management experience
  • Proven track record in setting up processes and systems and managing workflow & task management software
  • Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently in a remote environment
  • Basic understanding of non-profit / political / NGO advocacy
  • Ability to do some EA level work in the beginning
  • Excellent English skills

Bonus points for experience in graphic design, website development or governmental and non-governmental advocacy!

This role is highly technical, but also requires creativity & skill to design systems for the company’s operations process. The ideal candidate is honest, motivated and a lifelong learner with an entrepreneurial spirit and love for processes and automation. You also need to have good communication skills and the ability to work well with different types of personalities.

The hours are flexible, with the understanding that this is a full-time role and as the Ops Manager you’ll be an integral part of the day-to-day operations. This is a long-term position with significant growth potential, so it’s important that you are 100% committed!

What’s in it for you?

  • $3000 - $3500* per month
  • Full time
  • Fully remote
  • Potential for a salary increase in the first 6 months
  • Huge opportunity for career growth & the possibility to advance into a COO role

*Please note that this is a gross salary and that you are responsible for any tax-related procedures in your country of residence. We kindly ask you to apply only if you are happy to work remotely as an independent contractor.

This position will be closed as soon as we find the perfect match. So, make sure to read the description carefully and take your time to submit a high-quality application that stands out.
