Our vision is to increase heavy civil job site productivity by 40% by automating and optimizing heavy equipment to build roads, dig pipes and move millions of cubic meters of dirt on autopilot while significantly reducing the carbon footprint.

This will make sites safer, simultaneously allowing them to run more productively and profitably than ever before By increasing jobsite productivity, the company will stretch construction spending significantly further bringing much-needed infrastructure upgrades to communities that otherwise wouldn’t get funding.

This is a dynamic & exciting opportunity for someone with a background in project management, with the chance to take full ownership of the role & build processes from the ground up.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Turn the company’s vision into reality
  • Solve strategy problems before the CEO is even aware of them
  • Take care of day-to-day operations and client & employee management, allowing the CEO to focus on growing the business
  • Implement a suitable project management tool for managing projects & deadlines
  • Create meaningful KPIs and ensure they’re consistently being met
  • Find solutions for the drafting/design department
  • Develop and implement SOPs
  • Take the lead and hold weekly meetings
  • Get familiar with the company’s service management software & make sure it’s being used to its full potential
  • Optimise the employees’ time tracking & invoicing
  • Improve the quality of work for clients as the company scales

During the first few weeks, you’ll learn more about how the company operates and come up with a plan on how to manage clients and employees. You won’t have training as you’ll be expected to hit the ground running, but you’ll have full support from the CEO.

You’ll be expected to work around 4-8 hours per day, depending on the workload. There should be some overlap to have team meetings with the CEO and the team, but other than that, you’ll have the freedom to create your own schedule as long as the deadlines are met.

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of PM software (Asana, Trello etc.)
  • Tech savviness
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Knowledge of Google Sheets
  • Good spoken & written English skills
  • Brownie points for experience in civil construction, civil engineering or civil 3D!
