Online Sales Representative for a Startup in the Publishing Industry (Salary and Commissions) - an Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Sales Rockstars [CLOSED]

We’re looking for an experienced salesperson to join a startup helping content creators turn their existing content into bestselling books.

The job is for candidates who speak excellent English, have outstanding communication skills and are comfortable speaking English via Skype.

**About Us**

Publishing Parrot turns existing content like blog posts into bestselling books. Our clients are content creators like bloggers who want to build new income streams and spread the message about their work through new formats and markets.

**About the Role**

You’ll receive a list of potential clients (popular bloggers). Your job will be to research each potential client and their blog. Then you'll write a highly-personalized, valuable email to encourage them to try our services. This email will include your own ideas how to turn their blog into a book. You’ll receive a rough template that you’ll be free to adapt to your own style.

If you run out of potential leads, you’ll also be responsible for prospecting, that is looking for new potential clients. Since you’ll receive a base salary and a commission (we sell services that cost on average a few thousand dollars), the more effective you are, the more money you’ll make.

We’ll communicate primarily via email and a project management tool. Skype is also a possibility (both for internal communication as well as with clients).

You need to have experience as a salesperson, ideally selling online services. You need to be proficient in English and have great communication skills as you'll be the first person interacting with our potential clients.

You need to be comfortable taking initiative as we’d like to work with candidates who can provide value without being given instructions for every single task. If we hire you, this means we trust you to make your own decisions and your own mistakes.

Please offer your hourly rate in USD for a full-time position (40 hours a week) on a contract (meaning you’re a self-employed contractor). You’ll receive a base salary and a commission. We’ll pay via PayPal (or another solution if you prefer) monthly according to hours worked and any commissions accrued.
