Agentivity (www.agentivity.com) is a global leader in the supply of online data analysis services to travel agents in multiple markets. We are a young, dynamic and successful business that is growing rapidly.

To compliment our development team (mostly located in Belgrade, Serbia), we are looking for a SQL Database Administrator with SQL programming experience to:

• Perform frequent, documented database maintenance and health checks

• Analyse frequent procedures and suggest / implement optimisation

• Check on the back-up process in place and restore to a staging environment regularly to ensure our staging environment’s database is relatively fresh

• Optimise existing stored procedures

• Develop / code new stored procedures and functions

• Work with the other developers in the team to optimise the procedures for consumption by our API (ServiceStack)

The role will be exposed to large data sets (tables in excess of 100m rows) that is constantly updated, and will require a very focused individual we can trust to work with the data we analyse for our customers.

We are very team focused and we encourage internal discussions and weekly (virtual) team meetings to discuss our week past and week ahead, as a team.

The role can be based anywhere but we have a preference for a European / Southern African time zone based candidate. We offer flexible working hours and remote working.

Ideally the candidate has at least 5 years MS SQL experience, and programming experience in .NET (preferably C#), can work independently (from home for example) and is keen to move to a more senior role in which he or she will learn a great deal.
