Mid/Senior Laravel Developer for a B2B SaaS

Full Time

Salary: Negotiable

PHP Laravel

If you're looking to work in a calm, sustainable, and growing SaaS company, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Enjoy the freedom and flexibility of working for a startup, without putting in long hours or having to worry about job security. This is your chance to focus on meaningful product work that isn't burdened by meetings or red tape.

About this role

Service Provider Pro is a client management and billing platform for agencies. We make it easy for digital marketing agencies to sell their services and keep track of clients as they grow.

We're a small and highly effective remote team – you'll be working directly with the technical founder. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions in a growing company and do the best work of your career.

Our stack is a combination of tried and tested tech (CodeIgniter, jQuery) with parts of the app in Vue, and Laravel, hosted on AWS. You'll be responsible for building new REST APIs and microservices on Laravel, as well as helping refactor and migrate parts of our CI3 codebase to Laravel.

You may occasionally need to jump in to help CS with more advanced technical questions about our APIs, integrations, and template customizations (Twig/Liquid syntax).

The ideal candidate

  • You're a Laravel expert. You've built SaaS apps or CMSs on Laravel. You've implemented search (we're looking at MeiliSearch), or, you've done some devops on AWS. There are many areas of the company where you can have an impact.

  • You have perfect written english. Apart from a weekly Zoom standup, we communicate in Slack. You need to be good at expressing ideas in clear and concise writing.

  • You're self-sufficient. You like to set your own direction and run with it. You don’t need constant check-ins to get things done.

  • You're reliable. This is a remote position and nobody is going to look over your shoulder. Show up when you say you will, do what you say you’ll do.

  • You're proactive. You address inefficiencies and come up with ideas for improving our processes.

Benefits of this role

Here’s why this is a great job.

  • You’ll play a huge role in this company. You’ll have the opportunity to have a big impact on product, features, and most importantly – our customer’s businesses.

  • You'll have autonomy to make decisions. You're trusted to use your best judgment to create great software. There’s no bureaucracy or red tape.

  • You'll work remotely. Work from anywhere and enjoy the benefits of setting your own schedule – whether you want to go for a run after lunch, or go to a movie while everyone else is at work, it’s up to you.

  • You’ll work a 40-hour week. You’re not expected to do the startup grind and put in extra hours. We’re in this for the long run, and this is a results driven job anyways.

  • You get 20 paid vacation days per year.

  • You get a learning allowance. We’ll pay for books, courses and programs to help you get better at what you do.
