Marketing & Project Assistant [CLOSED]

Full Time 800.00 - 1000.00 EUR Type: Monthly

We are looking for our next rock star team member based in Europe to join our digital marketing crew! We have lots of great things in the pipeline, and you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in a bit of everything!

The digital marketing space moves quickly. To stay at the top of our game we’re always learning and experimenting with new things. If you’re the type of person who is constantly learning and applying what you’ve learnt then you’ll fit right in here.

We have access to many digital marketing courses and if we don’t then we are happy to pay for it (case has to be made how it will benefit the business growth).

You won’t be doing assistant tasks forever, there will be opportunities to grow. We’ll clearly point the way to your next development milestone, and provide opportunities for you to proactively work towards. The rest is up to you!

Watch this video from our CEO John.

What you will do

40% of the role will be supporting our awesome marketing team, 40% will be supporting the project delivery team and the other 20% helping with admin.

You will have the chance to learn how a cutting-edge digital marketing agency operates, be involved in a variety of marketing and project delivery processes, give your feedback on how things could run smoother, make mistakes and learn from them.

It will be your job to make everything work super smoothly in a neat and organised fashion. The tasks will require a very high attention to detail and ability to follow a well defined process. Some of them won’t be exciting or challenging, but you still need to take pride in doing them at the highest level.

If you can’t follow a process or create one, and if you don’t like being organized or meticulous then don’t apply, you won’t like it here.

What success looks like

If you had been working for us in the last couple of weeks these are a sample of the tasks you would have done:

Marketing

  • Filled in our KPI tracking spreadsheets (internal and for clients)
  • Accepted people into our private Facebook Group based on certain criteria
  • Set up files for an upcoming strategy calls with a prospect using a template

Project Delivery

  • Set up an email campaign or automation in Active Campaign
  • Checked, double checked and triple checked every step of a client’s automated funnel to make sure it’s working properly
  • Sent reminders in the Slack channel for our group coaching clients based on templates
  • Added our weekly Q&A call to the training portal hosted on ClickFunnels

Admin

  • Checked and filtered our CEO’s email inbox on a daily basis
  • Checked John’s calendar and marked days as busy if he’s booked up with calls
  • Reviewed number of hours spent per project last month by the whole team

What you will bring to the table

  • Eagerness to learn! No previous experience is required, we’ll teach you everything you need to succeed in this role.
  • Passion for marketing, data and what makes people tick.
  • A voracious appetite for solving problems. High emotional intelligence. There are lots of problems to solve when you’re working in online marketing. You will be expected to try and figure out the options before asking for advice.
  • Extremely organised – you will be expected to manage yourself, and to make sure that everything gets done, you’ll need to be able to manage all of these tasks and make sure nothing gets missed.
  • Unique combination of humility (willing to do the dirty work) and ambition (vision for what your future holds).
  • Driven – you are driven by excellence but not perfection. You are an action taker and you try to get better each time you do something.
  • Good at written and spoken English.
  • Fun - we mess around quite a lot as well as work hard. So if you don’t take yourself too seriously you’ll fit right in.

What we are about

We are a fully remote team of marketers, copywriters and funnel builders based in the UK, Croatia, Serbia and Romania. Despite being remote we are a great team and we believe it takes teamwork to be the best.

"None of us is as smart as all of us." --Ken Blanchard

We help online course creators build better marketing and sales funnels and make more money through a done for you agency service and a group coaching program. But it’s not only what we do, it’s how we do it.

We never lie to clients. We don’t bullshit them. We help them succeed, not baby them if they have a direction they want to go in that won’t work we tell them.

We try to achieve excellence through continual improvement, through always looking at how to make it run better, through practice.

We help clients in a friendly, charming way. We want our clients to feel good about themselves. We want them to realise that they are badass. We are their biggest supporters!

We are serious about work but we don’t take ourselves seriously.

Here's a video from Martina on our team about what it's like to work here.

How we work

It’s a 100% remote position, but it doesn’t mean you will be all alone. We’re connected through Slack, Loom videos, Zoom meetings and twice a year in-person meetups somewhere in Europe.

You will have to be available to work 9-5 in a European time zone - plus there will be occasional evening or early morning calls (we keep those to a minimum).

We work a 40 hour work week and you get two weeks paid holiday for every six months worked. Everyone is working on a contractor basis.

All projects and tasks will be set up in Todoist, our project management system, and will need to be ticked off in there so we know we are on track and everything is running smoothly.

Full support will be provided when you first start working with us, including training in how to do each thing you work on.

There will be a 3-month trial period for the role to check that we are a good match for each other (fully paid of course).

Start date end of February, although we’d be willing to wait a little longer for the right person.

How to apply

MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THESE STEPS EXACTLY.

  1. Include your CV (can be a link to your up-to-date LinkedIn profile)
  2. Attach a screenshot of your internet speed (visit Speedtest.net)
  3. Take this free 16 personalities test and include the results - https://www.16personalities.com/
  4. Introduce yourself, telling us why you want this job. Shoot a short — 5 minutes tops — video (using Loom) answering these questions:
    1. Why you want to work as a marketing and project assistant
    2. Why you want to work here at Data Driven Marketing and not somewhere else
    3. Tell us about a time at work that you took something ordinary and turned it into something extraordinary
    4. The “quick guide” version to making your favourite meal.

Remember: We're not looking for a feature-length movie here, 5 minutes maximum! (Seriously, we'll only watch the first 5 minutes, however long your video is.)

There’s no prize for getting in the first response, so spend some time thinking what you want to tell us.

Please apply before 24th January. We look forward to hearing from you!
