We are looking for a Marketing Assistant who will support the marketing team in all functions of the department. The ideal candidate is a team player with demonstrated leadership abilities, strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to see the big picture.

We want someone curious who’s always eager to learn more!

As the new Marketing Assistant, you will:

• Engage with customers & content creators on social media
• Respond to DM inquiries and direct them to appropriate team members
• Respond to marketing-related email inquiries, or direct them to appropriate team members
• Help us connect with new influencer partners by researching influencers, content creators, affiliates, and brands for collaborations
• Draft pitches based on your research to present Baloo’s value proposition, building new relationships and opening up opportunities for brand awareness
• Writing to include draft copy for social media campaigns and emails
• Assist the Marketing Project Manager with the coordination & execution of influencer collaborations
• Monitor PR opportunities and assist Marketing Project Manager with PR outreach to help with SEO, brand awareness, and increased traffic & conversions on the website
• Assist Marketing Project Manager with the execution of general marketing projects
• Support Marketing Project Manager, CMO, & CEO with administrative tasks
• Much more, according to your interests and talents

During the first week, training will be provided on marketing platforms and processes. You will meet the team including time for one on one conversations with each member, and learn more about the company’s marketing plans. After that, you will meet with the Marketing Manager, review processes and the team’s quarterly goals, and then jump in with oversight from the Marketing Team. This role will report to the Marketing Project Manager but will work with the CEO and marketing consultants, agencies, & freelancers.

This is a full-time position, with the flexibility to set preferred hours. However, you need to be available to work eight hours within the range of 6 AM PST to 9 PM EST to overlap with the rest of the team.

This position is perfect for someone looking to learn more about the overall marketing & social media strategies and execute with close, supportive management that will allow you to learn and grow in the job.

You’ll have a chance to learn all aspects of digital marketing from a leading brand in the weighted blanket category, and support a product that truly helps people sleep better and feel better, in a meaningful and sometimes even life-changing way.

To be a successful candidate, you need:

• Undergraduate degree; Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration Degree preferred
• At least 3 years of combined work experience
• Excellent written English
• Excellent writing skills
• Strong project management skills with adherence to deadlines and familiarity with project management tools including Asana, Trello, Slack, or the ability to integrate these tools quickly into your daily work
• Experience in eCommerce marketing
• Experience with customer service or online engagement
• Knowledge of social media apps for business: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and others
• Strong comfort level with technology and the ability to learn new programs easily
• Evidence of the ability to work effectively while remote

Bonus points for:

• Experience in Social Media content creation
• Experience in Canva or Photoshop
• Experience in link building
