We are looking for developers familiar with Magento who can take existing code and complete an integration between Magento and memoQ (translation management system) using memoQ CMS API. At the very basic, we are looking to send content for translations form Magento to memoQ and then have it sent back once the translator has completed his job.
CMS API is basically a tunnel for information used for delivering files between the CMS and the memoQ server. The API is based on REST technology. Documentation is available on the memoQ website, and some training/explainer videos will be provided by us. It supports several file formats including HTML, XML, XLIFF, JSON, MS Office files and others.
For Magento, we would need to develop a plugin from which we would manage the translation of content. This would include things like pages (static/dynamic), blocks, products (+ attributes), categories, menus, widgets, SEO data, URL slugs... Basically, we must be able to translate every piece of a website created in Magento.
The plugin would need to include a dashboard from where users can manage translation jobs. A similar plugin to our requirement would be WPML (WordPress), but ours would be much simpler as it's intended to work with only one translation management system - memoQ. Detailed information and examples will be provided.
This will be an initial project to develop and test, with ongoing maintenance and enhancement requests as needed post launch. We are looking for a lasting partnership with a potential to expand into developing integrations for other content management systems.
Budget is TBD.
