Milula Studios is an Amazon FBA brand that designs and sells paper products such as calendars, books and journals. With a modern design direction that appeals to a wider audience, they focus on delivering high-quality products for a great price.

The culture of the company is remote and independent; they give their employees a lot of freedom to choose when and how to work. However, they have regular meetings to check up on progress and make sure their goals are reached.

There are currently five people in the team:

→ Lucas → taking care of the company strategy & Amazon-related business

→ Isabell → in charge of processes, product development & finance

→ Josi → in charge of marketing & working with Isabell on product development

→ Dianne → working as a supply chain manager

→ Cory → finance & accounting manager

The communication within the team is open and positive, and everyone is encouraged to chat and get to know each other. However, the focus is mainly on the work so that the number of meetings is kept to a minimum so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy their free time!

Milula Studios is currently looking for a Lead Designer to join their team. You will be working with Isabell and Josi who research the type of products the company wants to launch, as well as the design direction that works well on Amazon. You’ll need to work in that direction, but will also have room to bring your own ideas to the table.

More specifically, you will:

• Deliver outstanding designs (journals, calendars and stationery products) & bring a unique look to the brand
• Work on branded materials such as inserts, banners, stickers and thank you cards for Milula Studios brand
• Come up with new design directions & material for Milula, focusing on the needs of the customer over your personal aesthetics
• Do iterations if needed based on customer feedback
• Get things done on tight deadlines

This is a full-time position, with a lot of freedom to create your own schedule, as long as you are available to work between 9 AM and 12 PM CET.

To excel in this role, you need:

• Experience in design & excellent design skills
• Eye and feel for aesthetics
• A knack for advertising & the ability to develop designs based on the mass market needs
• Familiarity with design programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop (it’s your choice which program to use, but usually an AI and PDF files are needed for production)

There won’t be any training for this position, as you’ll be expected to hit the ground running and directly start designing. However, during the first few weeks, you’ll receive support to help you get to know the team & understand internal processes.

The salary range for this position is between $2500 and $3200. However, in case you are a Senior Level Designer with experience in UX and UI Design who thinks they’d be a good fit for this role, the salary can range from $3000 to $5000.
