How to write the best cover letter to land that job


I'm Alex and I'm the founder of Pinvincibles, a company that provides services for businesses on Pinterest. Some of my clients are French but a growing number of them are English speaking (which will likely increase in time so your proficiency in English is more important than your French proficiency). In the past, I've mostly been working on freelance platforms and I'm trying to become less dependent on them so I'm creating a website and my own social media accounts to have my own clients.

A bit more about me as a person: I'm 26, I live in France, I love reading and cooking, I'm a passionate activist of disabled employment (being disabled and neurodivergent myself I've faced my fair share of discriminations in the workplace and I strive to build a company that will be the opposite of that)

As the first long-term hire of a young company, you will have tremendous space for growth. We will start on a part-time basis and will increase hours on a regular basis and I do hope to move on to a full-time basis in the next 6 months if that's something that you are also interested in. At the end of the year, I also plan to give employee(s) a bonus based on our business income of the year on top of your regular salary (0.5% or 1% depending on if you're working part or full time at this point).

Your roles will grow in time but your most important tasks right away will be :

  • Creating beautiful designs on Canva (you must be a pro on Canva, animated pins, short videos, slides must have no secret for you) and sending them to me for review/upload onto the client's account. Please send me samples of your work or a short screencast of you working on a canva design.
  • Help research and create content for my own website (work in progress) on a regular basis
  • Design posts for our own social media content
  • Keep our Notion workspace up-to-date
  • Be my personal assistant at times to help me stay on track.
  • Help us connect with new clients by being a part of FB groups once our website and socials will be ready
  • Your ideas and inputs will always be welcomed
  • I believe in passion projects. If there's a passion project that really motivates you in our work together, please let me know and we will see how we can implement it!

Later in our collaboration your role might include

  • handling of the calendar for my consulting gigs
  • a bit of customer service
  • affiliate marketing
  • content creation for course creation
  • help figuring out the tech side of things (Google is my best friend, everything is figureoutable but I might not always have the time to figure it out myself)
