About You

You have

  • Prior experience as an Executive Assistant - you get a kick out of being organised both for yourself and other people.
  • You love solving problems and everyone says “I know you’ll get it done,” not just your mom.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - you know what you want to say and you convey it clearly and simply
  • You know when to crack on with the task and you also know when to ask questions and ask for clarification or guidance - You recognise that asking for help can be a strength
  • Experience helping with hiring - screening applicants, initial interviews - you enjoy helping people get great jobs and doing the hard work to really identify the best candidates, the absolute A player…. When you look in the mirror you see an A player so you recognise others when you find them
  • Great with people - you have high emotional intelligence - and have a “spider sense” for when something is “off” or a “good fit”
  • Strong computer skills especially with Google docs and email

About Us

TeraTech creates custom software for medium sized (i.e. 50-500 employees) US companies, using the Adobe ColdFusion programming language, to solve their CF problems on time and budget.

We are ColdFusion experts with over 20 years in CF and 32 years in software development and we are currently moving more toward recurring maintenance projects. Michaela, the CEO, has written a best selling book on ColdFusion and hosts a podcast on it too. Also we ran the largest CF conference in the 2000s. We spearhead the CF Alive movement to modernize old apps and inspire programmers to use CF.

About The Role

We are looking for an Intuitive Executive Assistant with Hiring Skills (aka ”the CEO’s superhero”) who is great with people and hiring and who will take over and run with all kinds of tasks -- taking them off the CEO's plate. You’ll make the CEO’s work and life easier, so she can focus on growing the business.

Organize and run the hiring process successfully and with fun too. This role will be interacting with Michaela (CEO) on a daily basis and the tasks will be assigned via ‘Basecamp’ and weekly calls.

The successful candidate will have an abundant mindset, be joyful and open to and accepting of business intuition, woo-woo ideas and philosophies in addition to ‘acing’ the practical side of tasks.

Your main responsibilities as an Intuitive Executive Assistant with Hiring Skills will include:

  • Helping with hiring new positions
  • Assisting in creating job descriptions
  • Writing job ads
  • Screening candidates by video calls
  • Working on special projects
  • Updating Wordpress website
  • Assembling data for articles
  • Helping support podcasts
  • Processing emails
  • Performing other ad hoc administrative tasks
