Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer for our Marketing Automation team encompassing responsibilities along with all areas of application development. This includes software design, pair-programming code with unit tests to implement the design, and enterprise architecture integration.

The Marketing Automation team is a crucial part of our product development and organization strategy and is responsible for developing and operating the best tools (email, web push notifications, text messages, chat) to maintain a valuable relationship with our community of job seekers.

As such, you will also be responsible for analyzing business and engineering problems and the documentation and development of well-defined methods, procedures, and programs to deliver practical systems solutions.

You will also be involved in the development and maintenance of our DevOps infrastructure, allowing you to further develop your experience as a well-rounded software engineer.

What you will do

• You will join our Marketing Automation team to develop Golang based software using modern engineering techniques and agile methodologies, focusing on code quality and testability
• You will help us improve application performance
• You will contribute to each stage of the project lifecycle with your agile and data-driven mindset
• When and if needed, you will support the team in maintaining and evolving existing products, with different codebase (Golang and PHP) at different maturity stages.
• You will participate and contribute to decision-making, eventually suggest new approaches to help us operate more efficiently
• You will help our technology and our team scale as the business grows
  

Who you are

• You master Go programming and you always test your code as you go (knowledge of PHP a plus). Ideally, you have more than 3 years of experience in coding
• You have experience in designing, implementing and operating business-critical applications and distributed systems (experience with GCP a plus)
• You have actively contributed to the full software development life cycle (scoping, prioritization, planning, execution, operation, end-of-life) and have experience with the tools that assist it (source control, testing, continuous integration, deployment tools)
• You have a good knowledge of web standards and best practices. You believe that good code is essentially easy to read, and you feel comfortable dealing with code-review and merge request processes.
• You have a proven understanding of what makes a good API and knowledge of the architectural patterns of web applications.
• You are comfortable working with a 100% distributed engineering team, collaborating on Gitlab, Slack, Jira, etc., in the open and as a self-starter.
• You're a positive communicator keen to share knowledge and develop their technical craft; you also have an agile and data-driven mindset and understand the importance of iteration and improvement.
• You have an endless thirst for knowledge.
