Full Time Negotiable

HTML5 CSS3 LESS Javascript Advanced... Bootstrap jQuery Angular 1.x C# Mysql / MariaDB

We are a fast growing software firm that’s building out our engineering department. Our company was founded by a software engineer. Today we’re a team of nine people, all remote. We have very strong financials, and more than 75 years of combined entrepreneurial experience. We're looking for the best employees from around the world. We build software for employees and leadership teams at small- and medium-sized organizations around the globe and we're looking to expand our product offering. We're looking to hire loyal, hard-working, brilliant people.

You're someone that starts and finishes ambitious projects by yourself. You're a fast learner. Nobody can top your work and you don't sleep until your satisfied (you've probably pulled some all-nighters in your younger days). In the past you might have been considered a lone wolf. Today, you want to grow as a team player and work with other former lone wolves. You're a problem solving master and can make autonomous decisions and want to be on a team with the best people on the planet. And, of course, you want to be compensated appropriately :)

You will lead development on a new software product-line for our firm. For that, you'll need to be a full-stack MVC C#.NET developer. You'll be responsible for architecting, coding, designing, and testing the system. You'll be responsible for the user interface (UI) and the user experience (UX). Once the product is live, you'll be responsible for incorporating feedback from customers and support staff, fixing bugs, and adding new features. You'll also be responsible for code reviewing other product lines.

The product will be built for employees of small and medium sized organizations. It will need to be a responsive web-application that our current and future clients will depend on every hour of every work day.

You'll "own" this product vertical and you must be comfortable making decisions that are in the best interest of the product and the company. We expect the product to take 6-9 months to develop, after this point, you'll be responsible for the support of the product. If you’re a great fit, we want to keep you on staff for as long as possible.

To be successful at this job, you'll probably need to be proficient in

  1. Conversational English
  2. MVC C# .NET
  3. HTML
  4. CSS
  5. Javascript
  6. A front-end framework, Angular/React/JQuery (or willing to learn)
  7. Familiarity with Git/GitHub
  8. (optional) NHibernate

You'll have periodic meetings with the Founder/CTO (at a reasonable frequency of your choosing) and you'll report directly to them. Don't like working Fridays? Maybe you work best in bursts. We're flexible, you'll pick your own hours. We're hiring you to take work off our plate, You don't want to be micro-managed and we don't want that either, after all. We only want to work with the best, so please do not apply unless you're the best engineer you know.

Our company uses Slack to communicate. It's not uncommon to have impromptu meetings over video conference to answer questions. For that, you'll need an internet connection that is good enough to support streaming video.
