About HumanCentric

HumanCentric was founded in 2015 and is a profitable, high-growth, eCommerce brand. We design products that help customers create a productive, beautiful, and comfortable workspace in their home office. We ship tens of thousands of products each month to customers around the world, and are run by a small and driven team who makes it all come together.

We have grown significantly as the remote work trend continues to increase, and we believe that we have a tremendous opportunity to become an impactful brand and thought leader in the emerging work-from-home space.

Who We're Looking For

To be a fit for this job, you must have...

  • A prior role in marketing for a direct-to-consumer eCommerce company (or a similar role at an agency that serves these companies). eCommerce experience is required.
  • Familiarity with all relevant digital marketing areas, including paid and organic social media, influencer marketing, email marketing, content marketing, SEO, and more. We do not expect you to be an expert at everything, but you will need to know enough to prioritize and get the function started.
  • Extreme resourcefulness. You enjoy getting things done with less resources and in less time than others would consider possible.
  • A fast-paced work style. You create tremendous amounts of accurate, finished work much faster than other people you work with.
  • A very good eye for design. You are not expected to be a designer, but you must be able to work well with them to deliver the results that you need to meet your branding and marketing goals.
  • A talent for keeping track of everything when there are lots of moving parts.
  • An appreciation for interior design and the technology gear that you'd find in a well-appointed workspace.
  • The desire to work in a lean, small-company environment.
  • Empathy. You must genuinely care about the well being of other people.

Had you been with us last month, you would have....

  • Led the effort to select a new digital marketing agency
  • Worked with our product and operations teams to coordinate the launch of new products
  • Developed a content strategy for our blog and social media channels, and then worked with internal resources and partners to execute it
  • Directed rendering artists, graphic designers, photographers and videographers in the creation of new content

If you work with us, within the next two years it’s likely that you’ll…

  • Lead the redesign and launch of our new website
  • Lead the launch of dozens of new products across our multiple sales channels.
  • Hire a team to support you.
  • Be responsible for millions of dollars in eCommerce growth.
  • Have a lot of fun doing it.

Qualities that will make you a good fit for HumanCentric

  • Systems Thinking and Attention to Detail. You see the big picture of how everything works together, and appreciate the impact that the smallest details can have on the whole system.
  • Independence and Efficiency. You get things done faster than your peers, and are always improving your execution. You have the right information at your fingertips because you planned in advance. You can independently manage a huge backlog by identifying actions from high-level objectives and prioritizing intelligently. You follow through on all your commitments, on time.
  • Technology Fluency. You can learn a new application faster than almost anyone around you.
  • Humility. If it’s part of running and building the business, nothing is outside your job description. And that’s something you value and appreciate.
  • Respect. We treat customers, vendors, and each other with tremendous respect and sincere appreciation. They are people first, and business partners second.
  • Balanced Intensity. You approach your work with intensity, but you're an easy person to be around.
  • Clear Communication. Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills. Your ideas are well thought out and clearly articulated.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health and dental plan (US-based employees only)
  • 401k plan with company match (US-based employees only)
  • Awesome, flexible paid vacation policy
  • Fully remote team
  • Work closely with a small, experienced team (including the CEO) and gain exposure to all aspects of running a global products company and eCommerce brand
