We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Customer Support and Operations Assistant. In this role, you will take on all customer support activities related to our DIY service, and be responsible for owning the day-to-day operations of the service.

Your primary focus will be to ensure that our jobseekers and employers receive the best possible support and guidance to help them succeed in their goals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1️⃣Jobseeker/employer support: You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to our DIY service - this includes moderating jobseeker profiles, approving employer job posts and handling support requests over email and chat. You’ll ensure that their queries are resolved in a timely and efficient manner in a helpful and friendly way.

You'll also be involved in identifying opportunities to improve our processes and service to enhance the experience for our customers.

2️⃣Community management: You'll be responsible for keeping our social media channels active and engaging, to drive engagement, particularly amongst jobseekers, with helpful and friendly content that guides people on how to get great remote jobs.

3️⃣Operations tasks and improvements: You’ll be involved in a wide range of operations tasks across the wider JobRack business using your high attention to detail and comfort with tech systems to make changes and improvements that we define. You’ll be helping us continually measure and improve our service and systems.

4️⃣The job responsibilities for our Done With You service include drafting job posts and testing ideas to create engaging and effective content for our clients. As part of this role, you will be responsible for crafting eye-catching header images using design tools like Canva, ensuring that the visual elements complement the written content. By delivering a well-rounded service, you will help clients attract top talent and convey a professional image through the unique combination of tailored job posts and captivating graphics.

More specifically, within this role, you will:

  • Support jobseekers by email, chat, and communities, including Facebook groups, to help them get hired into great jobs
  • Support employers with queries relating to DIY job posts and hiring queries, to ensure they have an awesome experience every time they use our service
  • Perform various operations tasks across all of our services and systems, including getting involved in projects to improve processes and our service
  • Edit and administer existing blog posts on our website to ensure that our content is up-to-date and relevant
  • Review jobseeker profiles and provide guidance to improve them, to increase their chances of getting hired
  • Create images for ads, social media, or our website using Canva to ensure that our content is visually appealing and engaging
  • Spend time reviewing every step of our website and our jobseeker and employer experiences to find ways in which we can improve
  • Create engaging job posts and matching test ideas
  • Take on any other tasks or responsibilities as needed to ensure the success of our service.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our business by constantly looking for ways to improve how we communicate with our jobseekers and employers. You will be encouraged to review every step of our website and our jobseeker and employer experiences to find ways in which we can improve, and to implement new tools and processes to improve our customer support and email processes.

In your first weeks, you will also have the chance to work closely with our Hiring Success Manager to learn the ins and outs of the DIY service, and to gain valuable experience in customer support, marketing, and operations.

We are looking for someone who is creative, proactive, and able to work independently to drive engagement amongst jobseekers and employers. To excel in this role, you need to have:

  • Alignment with our values of being helpful, friendly, positive, and professional.
  • At least 2 years of remote operations assistant/VA experience/social media marketing working as an independent contractor for Western European or US clients (or UK/AU).
  • Excellent English skills for supporting customers, writing emails and creating content for the website.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to accurately proofread your own work.
  • Experience with online content creation using tools like Canva, WordPress, and ActiveCampaign.
  • Social Media experience.
  • Ability to learn new software tools and systems quickly, including workflow automation tools like Zapier, ifttt, and Make.
  • Intelligence, self-motivation, great organisation skills, and confidence in asking questions.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively and on time.
  • Ability to get a lot done quickly.
  • Familiarity with project/task management apps.
  • Knowledge of social media marketing tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout, Canva, BuzzSumo, MeetEdgar, etc.
  • Independence and entrepreneurship with a results-oriented, self-starter mindset.
  • Proactivity, resourcefulness, and decisiveness with the ability to formulate solutions to challenges independently.
  • Ownership, responsibility, and reliability with confidence and a strong positive attitude.

Brownie points for:

  • Experience with HR or hiring processes, sourcing and filtering candidates for roles.
  • At least 6+ months of experience with social media & marketing

  • $1120 - $1440* per month depending on your experience

  • Working hours: 40 hours per week. We have some flexibility on when you work, however, we expect your core working hours to be normal office hours Monday to Friday.
