About the company

We're looking for an OUTSTANDING content writer to come on board and help us take Growth Partners Media to the next level. We are a digital marketing agency that likes to do things a little differently — bringing humanity, openness, curiosity and fun to our work while pushing ourselves to achieve excellence in what we do. 

Born in the UK and now spread across mainland Europe with the bulk of our team situated in Serbia and North Macedonia. We're fully remote with a relaxed but driven working culture. We provide link acquisition and content creation services to clients all over the world. We're talking cream of the crop, A-grade quality services here with amazing clients doing really cool things in the world.

We typically work with early-stage to Series B -- SAAS companies along with a few special ad-hoc clients.

About the role

You will be helping us manage client guest-posting campaigns. This involves creating content for other sites on a wide variety of topics and linking to client pages we're promoting on their behalf. You will also be involved in other campaigns working on assets that we own. This could be anything from producing high-level content on SEO best practices to creating case study content through interviewing industry experts.  This will involve researching, writing and curating blog content relating to the industry of SAAS marketing, Tech, HR, employee wellbeing,  project management, e-commerce and more. 

You will also have to create content on other topics you're not familiar with. With this in mind, your research skills are just as important as your writing skills. You need to be able to identify strong topics to cover, craft compelling outlines and of course, produce the content.

You must have native-level English writing skills and be able to craft long-form articles that solve problems for people (1500+ words of content per piece). We're looking for someone who understands content marketing and SEO. But also someone who enjoys researching and curating top content to discover unique insights. You need to be able to turn around content on a pretty tight schedule. You should know the difference between a "list post" and a "how-to" post. Most importantly of all, writing is your passion! 

In the era of AI, we also cannot ignore the intersection of tools like chatGPT. Combining the best of both human and AI is where we see huge results. This is a game-changing tool and we actively use this as part of our content workflow. You must be familiar with ChatGPT, ideally you've used it to create quality long-form content. You must also have the ability to write 100% human content without the help of an AI tool. 

The more SEO experience you have, the better. If you have worked as an SEO or Outreach Specialist, particularly in the field of link-building, this will be ideal as there's scope for you to get involved in this area. I'd love to hear about any relevant experience here. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Content writing long-form blog posts using Google Docs.
  • Create content, aided with ChatGPT (GPT4o) as well as 100% human content without GPT.
  • Performing content research, creating outlines.
  • Creating content briefs and using tools like Surfer SEO to optimise content for Google rankings.
  • Sourcing images to illustrate points made in content, using Canva to create graphics as needed.
  • Using writing tools like Grammarly and self-editing your content.
  • Using tools like Slack, Asana and Google Sheets.
  • Managing an editorial schedule.
  • Strategically placing backlinks with smart use of anchor text.
  • Writing revisions based on internal or external feedback.
  • Working closely with other GPM team members, particularly Outreach Specialists to coordinate content creation, link placements and publishing.

 

About you

- Experience writing long-form content on websites, you know what it takes to write engaging articles that keep a reader hooked.

- Experience writing long-form content relating to SAAS and digital marketing. You understand core marketing concepts and can uncover hidden insights that other people struggle to find (reading between the lines).

- Familiarity with tools like Surfer SEO, Wordpress, Asana, ChatGPT.

- You understand how on-page SEO works. You know how to implement powerful internal linking practices. 

- You have experience placing backlinks in content as well as a strong understanding of anchor text. 

- An excellent grasp of the English language, both written and spoken, you've gotta be good.

- You can write exceptionally well. You understand the subtle nuances of the English language.

- You can work on your own with minimal supervision.

- You're responsive with communication and can keep to tight deadlines.

- You have creative problem-solving skills, you enjoy tackling complex problems and figuring them out.

- You're curious by nature and you love discovering new ways of doing things.

- You love using tools and technology to your advantage.

- You have an eye for detail and regularly go the extra mile to create a quality piece of work.

- You have a good internet connection and can take Zoom calls regularly.

- You can work asynchronously and work with communication tools like Slack. 

- You have an eagerness to learn and develop yourself professionally.

- You can work full-time hours.
