Content Manager - Responsible for product information of new products to help future customers making their purchasing decision [CLOSED]

Dear reader, we are a Dutch company that sells non-food consumer goods online via the platform Bol.com, which is active in the Netherlands and Belgium. The model of Bol.com is similar as Amazon, but there is a large market to grow in still. In 2019, we crossed €1.000.000,- in sales.

In 2019, we have grown enormously in the number of products that we sell. After reducing the number of new products in the past 2 months, the amount is increasing again and will do so in the next years to come. In order to provide complete product information for these new products, we are looking for a creative and passionate person to strengthen our remote team.

The job starts as soon as we found someone suitable. In the beginning it will be 10 hours a week to get into the job, but will turn gradually into a full-time job in the course of 6 months.

Skills required:

• English (intermediate)
  • Communicate well in the description, with the team and being able to perform online research from English sources
• Product photographical responsibility
  • Communicating together with product photographers to ensure the product will be represented well photographically to the customer
• Product content writing
  • Being able to understand the problems that the products solve and the benefits it will bring to the users in order to translate this into a well-written product description
  • Being able to work both efficiently and effectively by researching what has already been written by sources on the internet
  • Managing working together with Dutch translators to ensure descriptions are translated and collected on time
• Managing content details online:
  • Gather additional details required from the platform with our suppliers and upload the details to the platform
  • Ensure that all product content is uploaded to the online platform before the deadline of product arrival

Skills not required, but may come in handy:

• Product photography (intermediate / professional)
• Photo editing (beginner / intermediate)
  • Being able to edit logo’s on products
  • Remove / add text
