Role Overview:

As the Community, Alumni, and Affiliate Manager, you’ll be at the heart of Generation Success’s mission, leading our efforts to create a thriving, inclusive community. Your role will be to transform connections into advocates, stories into inspiration, and opportunities into pathways for success.

This role has opened up due to the promotion of the previous post holder, and while we have outlined our requirements, we’re flexible on adapting responsibilities for the right candidate. Our main priority is to find someone who can build a community that supports our Success Seekers' career aspirations and transforms stakeholders into advocates for our mission. You’ll also inherit a team including an Events Assistant, Community Assistant, and an Outreach Lead.

This role is both strategic and operational, focusing on community engagement, alumni relations, partnership development, and user experience. You will support members’ journeys from initial engagement through alumni status, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting advocacy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Community and Alumni Engagement
    • Build an engaging community where members feel valued and connected.
    • Strengthen alumni relations by fostering an active network and inspiring future generations.
  2. Partnerships and External Relationships
    • Develop strategic partnerships with universities, societies, and community groups.
    • Launch and manage affiliate programs to support community growth.
  3. Content and Communication
    1. Create and curate content that resonates with community members.
    2. Engage on social media, amplifying Generation Success’s impact and voice.
  4. Growth and Fundraising Initiatives
    • Drive community growth through onboarding, referrals, and outreach.
    • Launch and manage creative fundraising campaigns to foster a culture of giving back.
  5. Community Health and Technology
    • Foster a positive, inclusive environment by upholding community guidelines.
    • Optimise digital platforms and maintain a resource library for learning and engagement.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for creating lasting connections.
  • Proven experience in community management, customer service, or a similar role.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities seamlessly.
  • A deep commitment to social mobility, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Experience in pastoral care or supporting youth.
    • Familiarity with community-building platforms and social media management.
