We are making big changes in the remote work world, and we do our best to make both hiring and job-hunting experience more enjoyable every day.

Here’s some of us on our Christmas party Zoom call…(we’ve almost doubled in size since December 2021!)

We are growing rapidly and because of that, we are looking to add a Business Development Manager to work alongside and report directly to Noel, our CEO.

In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end sales processes right here at JobRack with everything that involves. From consultation and sales calls, through to keeping in touch with clients past and present, as well as keeping records up to date and processes efficient with our systems.

You must have great energy. We want someone who lights up conversations and that people love to be around. Making our clients feel great whilst they speak with us is key so this needs to be a natural part of your personality.

You’ll be working closely with our entire team and especially with Noel, our CEO.

We have some really big goals and you’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring we exceed those. To give you an idea we’ve doubled our revenue in the past 4 months and are looking to double again by the end of 2022.

All this through inbound leads and by creating raving fans of our customers that return to us again and again AND regularly refer us to their friends and contacts.

More specifically, within this role, you will:

  • Take ownership and lead the end to end sales process from initial contact, hiring / sales consultation calls through to capturing case studies and beyond.
  • You’ll be reviewing and optimising constantly to ensure we maintain the personal touch with our customers as we scale.
  • Run customer-centric sales calls resulting in clients that are excited to buy and work with us
  • There’s no hard sell here. We don’t even consider that we ‘sell’ at all. People come to us looking for help, we guide them in the right path for them, explain how we can help and if it’s a good fit then they choose to work with us.
  • If you’re looking to use your energy, empathy and enthusiasm for helping businesses to grow then we’re keen to hear from you.
  • Reach out to existing customers via email and video messages including:
  • Following up on sales calls with relevant information to keep us front of mind and trigger purchases sometimes many months and repeated contacts after an initial sales call.
  • Send friendly “just checking in” messages to previous customers that have hired successfully with JobRack; offer catch up calls & tips for success with their hires
  • Ask for and receive referrals and introductions to new potential clients, contacting them and introducing them to JobRack and what we do
  • Take ownership of the CRM and populate the system with information following your customer calls and interactions
  • You’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve our processes whether through improved scripts, systems or automations within our tools
  • Having the right information at the right time is key so our systems and processes need to support this whilst still being easy to use and maintain.
  • Reach out to potential clients and build solid processes around this area
  • You will work closely with our CEO Noel both over your first weeks and months in the role and beyond, as you learn all aspects of the role and our business. Once you’re ready we will work through a controlled transition to running client consultation / sales calls yourself. This is estimated to take around 12 weeks but as you'll know…. in sales and business development the training never stops.

Once you join JobRack, you will already know how to be a professional- and customer-centric business development manager, customer success and sales person, therefore, our training will be focused on how to apply your skills to the JobRack services, business, and our customers.

Our customers are the owners and CEOs of online businesses so building rapport in a professional, helpful and friendly way is crucial.

In your first weeks, you will learn about what we do for our customers, review previous client calls and shadow Noel on calls with time to review and ask questions. As you get familiar with our approach you'll start to handle follow-ups with customers by email and take a more active approach on calls asking questions and slowly transitioning to engaging with customers throughout more of the consultation call.

In order to excel as our next Business Development Manager, you need to have great energy and have experience with:

  • B2B sales with US-based businesses.
  • Proactively improving sales processes and systems
  • CRM / sales pipeline systems i.e., HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar.
  • Working in a startup-style environment - we have some processes and systems, but they're far from perfect. You need to be comfortable with ambiguity, figure things out and take ownership of making them better.
  • Asana or similar project management tools
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written - you’ll have great English and be able to clearly communicate with people at all levels

Brownie points for:

  • Experience with / understanding of recruitment processes
  • Experience working with online businesses / startups.

Key assets of our ideal Business Development Manager:

  • Competence in B2B Sales - you will have been a top salesperson/producer in your previous roles without using hard pressure sales tactics
  • Clarity - You will have clarity on what you want, how you like to work and where you want to go with your career
  • Character - You'll be a helpful and friendly person, committed to working hard, getting results and being part of a great team to do so. We have a very strict no as$hole rule here at JobRack. If that's you…don't apply! You'll be able to handle rejection and recognise that not everyone says yes right away. If it's a fit then it'll come good. If it's not then no worries, you'll signpost them to someone that can help
  • Self-motivation & independence - You don't need a sales manager sitting over your shoulder pushing you all day every day, you're on the case and pushing yourself forward because you want to make a difference, get results and help the team and the business to grow.
  • Responsibility - from systems to client satisfaction you will take responsibility for making sure the right results happen.
  • Sales coordination - Sometimes you have to do grunt work. Entering information into the CRM system, following up with clients, any and every task at all levels. Whilst the sales team will likely grow in the future right now you'll be doing everything required to make sales happen., just as our CEO does today.

  • Competitive monthly salary* of $2,000-3,000+ with significant room to increase as you progress in the future whether that’s base + commission or other profit share arrangements

  • 8 hours per day between 8 AM and 6 PM CET – at JobRack we mainly work these hours with some degree of flexibility. We are also looking for someone who can accommodate calls with customers in the USA or Australia. This sometimes requires calls to be completed early in the evening so you should expect to be flexible.
