The Hawker’s Club was founded by Ex-Amazonians Peter Beke and Hannah Blackburn in 2018. Following their Amazon tenures, they both believed that they could offer more value to sellers and vendors outside of Amazon by tailoring the service to what vendors and sellers found most challenging.

The focus of The Hawker’s club is to undertake the vendor or seller eCommerce journey along with its clients. With marketplaces such as Amazon, Wayfair and Walmart increasingly expecting vendors and sellers to take on more and more traditional retail side responsibilities such as customer service, operational and marketing load. Peter and Hannah, therefore, focus on helping businesses both adopt and thrive in this environment.

They worked with some of the largest brands in several niches, such as the #1 pet supply brand in the US, the #1 garden decor brand, etc. They are one of the few agencies that focus on Vendor Central and overall business advisory versus catalogue/SEO. They are also the preferred partners of BWG Strategy, the largest eCommerce executive network in the US.

The Hawker’s Club is looking for their next team member - an Advertising Manager - to join their international team of 11. Within this exciting and dynamic role, your key focus will be to grow the client base of The Hawker’s Club, grow the business from the existing clients, as well as multi-marketplace expansion in the service offering and introduction of DSP.

This role is a perfect fit for an ambitious and experienced marketer who wants to manage some of the leading brands' ad spending in the USA, learn more about Amazon DSP, and work with advertising on Walmart, Wayfair, Overstock & eBay.

Within this role, you will work with the following key areas of business:

✅New product launches

✅Seasonality-based strategy reviews

✅Preparation of targets and KPIs for Q4 and 2023

✅Becoming the go-to person for advertising for both internal and external stakeholders

✅Creation and implementation of the marketing strategy that fits the client's business goals

✅Growth of the advertising department

✅Reporting to the directors and collaborating with the account management team

Once you join the company, a week-long onboarding programme will be organised for you so that you can learn more about the internal automation & tools, as well as the 3rd party software. You will also shadow other team members, and research the new clients.

In order to excel in this role, you need to have:

  • Solid digital marketing/traffic driving experience
  • Experience with eCommerce advertising
  • Amazon PPC and DSP experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite & experience with frequently used Excel formulas
  • Understanding of the customer funnel i.e. the impact of each step in the customer journey and how to use that to the clients' advantage
  • Systematic thinking based on data and the ability to think outside the box
  • Experience with using automation to streamline processes
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Great communication skills

  • Walmart DSV and/or Seller Centre
  • Overstock Oasis

What’s in it for you?

  • Monthly salary of $3000 - $4000*
  • Fully remote and full-time role
  • Flexible working hours with a minimum overlap with 8 AM - 2 PM Central US time
