The Hawker’s Club was founded by Ex-Amazonians Peter Beke and Hannah Blackburn in 2018. Following their Amazon tenures, they both believed that they could offer more value to sellers and vendors outside of Amazon by tailoring the service to what vendors and sellers found most challenging.
The focus of The Hawker’s club is to undertake the vendor or seller eCommerce journey along with its clients. With marketplaces such as Amazon, Wayfair and Walmart increasingly expecting vendors and sellers to take on more and more traditional retail side responsibilities such as customer service, operational and marketing load. Peter and Hannah, therefore, focus on helping businesses both adopt and thrive in this environment.
They worked with some of the largest brands in several niches, such as the #1 pet supply brand in the US, the #1 garden decor brand, etc. They are one of the few agencies focusing on Vendor Central and overall business advisory versus catalogue/SEO. They are also the preferred partners of BWG Strategy, the largest eCommerce executive network in the US.
The Hawker’s Club is looking for their next team member - an Account Manager - to join their international team of 11. Within this exciting and dynamic role, your key focus will be on building a good relationship with the clients and making them feel heard, as well as ensuring that the results are met. You will also create a team of specialists and ensure that they are able to execute the plan the client requires.
This is a perfect opportunity for a professional who is looking for a long-term remote role with autonomy and exposure to C-suite client stakeholders immediately.
More specifically, within this role, you will:
✅Review current client problems and formulate a plan on how to address them
✅Walk clients through the processes to solve issues they experience and advise them on the best implementation to address these issues
✅Manage internal projects – to ensure that the work gets done to achieve the problem resolutions – and external projects – to ensure that client stakeholders collaborate as required to achieve the desired outcomes.
Please note that this is not a sales role. You are not expected to sell; this is a problem-solving role.
Once you join the company, you will be trained on how to navigate all marketplaces the company serves and how those marketplaces work (Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, and Overstock). You will have an opportunity to also shadow other team members and learn internal tools and processes.
