Our company

SchoolMaker is the best platform to host premium online courses.

Most online courses are just a series of videos. SchoolMaker is different : the videos are paired with a step-by-step progression system, a supportive community and a coach to help you succeed.

Our clients are online teaching businesses. They use SchoolMaker to sell premium courses at premium prices and with great service.

Development started in March 2020 and we launched in November 2020. In our launch week, we were able to get hundreds of paying customers.

So we're young - but we're growing fast !

Now, we need a great Head of UX/UI Design to join our Product Team.

This is a full-time, remote position.

Your mission

The Head of UX/UI Design is responsible for defining and implementing the company's design vision.

You job is to make the product look and feel awesome for our users.

Passionate about SaaS, you have strong opinions about what constitutes the best experiences and interfaces.

As part of the Product team, you will work on Product Development.

Outcomes

• Product Development:

  • Gather and evaluate User Requirements in collaboration with the Product team.

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards or process flows.

  • Produce the low-definition wireframes based on the User Stories.

  • Produce high-definition graphic designs (Sketch, Figma, etc.).

  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems.

• Share new UX/UI trends in our design swipe-file.

• Define and enforce style standards on fonts, colors, images, etc.

Skills

Specific to this role:

• Detective-like skills: when interviewing a customer, you do not bias them with suggestive questions; you collect raw feedback discovering new problems to solve.

• Mastery of Sketch or Figma.

• Organizational skills: you like having your files in order and your layouts neatly organized.

• Open to feedback: as a creative, you love feedback because it's how you improve yourself; you do not put ego in your creations.
