Website Content Manager [CLOSED]

Full Time Negotiable

This job is suitable for clever lads or ladies, who ideally know a little (or a lot!) about Wordpress, SEO, keyword research, and other things in this area. However, training will be provided. So really I'm most interested in hiring someone with the right attitude and the ability to learn new things, but if you know a bit about the stuff I mentioned above then that will certainly be an advantage too :) Here are some traits I'd like in my future rockstar website manager: -You're a good timekeeper, and always do your best to be on time and to meet deadlines. -Your communication skills are great. You appreciate clear instructions for tasks, and will always try to keep me updated on your progress or problems. -You like (and are good at) learning new things in the internet world, especially related to internet business. -You're internet savvy. You know basically how Google and websites work, and maybe even know about SEO or Google Adsense. -You have a fast and secure computer to work from, and your internet connection is also decently quick and stable. -You want to learn new skills, progress your career, and gradually take on more responsibility in your roles. If this sounds like you, please keep reading! I own a small website that I need some help running (that's where you come in). It runs on WordPress, has quite a lot of content, and gets about 30,000 pageviews per month from Google. Here's some of the things you would be responsible for (guidance and training provided, of course): -Keyword research, and a plan for new articles. You will have an American writer who will follow your instructions for new articles. -Formatting and posting the new articles on the website via WordPress. -Choosing relevant images from my stock photo account, cropping/resizing them, and adding them to the articles. -Tracking our keywords with SEMRush (semrush.com). -Reaching out to authority figures without our niche to build relationships and ultimately gain backlinks. -Researching and brainstorming ways that we can add value for our audience, for example: ebooks, courses, or guides that we could create and sell. -Some email marketing. -Generally testing ideas to improve the website, such as: different types of content, ad layouts, email list opt-in forms, and stuff like that. I want to emphasise again that there's no pressure on you to know how to do all of this stuff perfectly right away. I'm going to provide guidance and training, and by working together we'll eventually have you doing this stuff in your sleep :) Here's a few of the goals I have in mind for the website over the coming months: -Continue to add high quality content that's valuable to our audience. -Increase Google organic traffic by ranking for new keywords. -Gain high quality backlinks. -Improve Adsense monetisation, and also add other revenue streams (such as a course or ebook that we can sell). And, here's some other details about this position: -We'll start at about 10 hours per week. There's a chance for this to increase as we progress, either with this website or other similar websites in our portfolio. -You can expect great communication for me, with clear instructions, feedback, and help when needed. -You'll be paid the agreed amounts promptly, always on time. We can use Payoneer. -You'll have a lot of flexibility with your working hours. We can talk about this, but once you're up to speed after some training you can most likely work whenever you want. -I am committed to building a long term relationship with you, and there will be training to help improve your knowledge and skills so that you can ultimately take on more responsibility. Part of your work every week will be researching, training, and learning - you will be paid for each hour of training, just as if you were working on the main job tasks. When you apply, please mention some of the following: -Your general level of experience with some of the tasks I mentioned above. -Your past jobs (whether relevant or not). -Why you would like this job, and what excites you about the position. -Do you want to learn new skills that you can use to improve your work, and ultimately take on more responsibility and gain promotions? -Anything else you'd like to say about this position or why you think you're the right guy or gal for the job. -Please go to http://speedtest.net, run a test, and take a screenshot of your result. Make sure to crop your screenshot, it should look like this: https://gyazo.com/8f2abb1f02c66f52e062e469e847c7b1 -Please use an online word counter tool and tell me how many words this article contains: http://ezinearticles.com/?What-is-SEO-Anyway?&id=347015 So that's it! I hope you're interested in this position and I look forward to reading your application. At the end of your application, you can also include any questions that you have for me about this position. The last instruction I have is that you should start the application by saying: "Hi, I'd like to join your website management team!" Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this job post. Cheers, Jason
