About Company
SoundMind is a media and healthcare nonprofit with headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. We create innovative solutions to pressing healthcare needs and have a special focus on neuroscience and mental health, both for clinical groups and the general population.
We use tools such as technology, mindfulness, plant medicine, psychedelics, sound healing, and art to create novel products and disseminate information. We believe that utilizing ancient knowledge of plant medicine is one way to help heal our broken healthcare system, and that technological innovations can be leveraged to tackle even the most complex of human diseases.
We believe that if given the tools to improve their health, people will choose to use them. Our broader mission is to build self-sustaining medical models by leveraging digital technology, incorporating plant and psychedelic medicine, utilizing a community’s cultural assets, and encouraging participation among patients and providers within existing healthcare systems.
We create free mental health and wellness programming, oversee a therapy collective in West Philadelphia focused on providing mental healthcare to marginalized populations, and create tech and media to enhance the efficacy and safety of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. We also have project locations in Puerto Rico and Jamaica. We value creativity, community, and diversity.
